Did a band aid cause blisters on my chest and how did I get them?
Q. I'd had a zit on my chest that I had popped (not good, I know) and it bled, so naturally, I put and band aid over it and left it on overnight. The next morning, I remove the band aid to reveal about three small blisters above the location of the zit. (a pretty good distance apart) If this helps any, it was underneath the sticky part of the band aid that I got the blisters.

A. Yep - it matters that it was by the sticky part! As soon as I saw your question I knew the answer! I too, am allergic to the glue on band aids! When I use them, I have two rectangular red welts right where the sticky part was and then the middle part where my 'boo-boo' was is all clear! So for me (and apparently you too!) the cure is worse than the disease...I do think they make hypo-allergenic band-aids though...I haven't bothered to try to find them...
